Night Photography in Los Angeles -
A one night creative photo workshop. Discover how to take creative photographs after dark by using the lights of night.
Photographing a city at night can be one of the most difficult, yet rewarding types of photography. Whether you are shooting a wide city scape or a single reflection, less than ideal conditions can challenge even the most experienced photographer. We will be photographing scenes. objects and people.
Street lights, fluorescent signs, vehicle headlights, and architectural lights, all create a very different quality of photograph. Artificial light sources produce unusual colors and shadows with a distinct moods. We will discuss why light sources such as mercury vapor, fluorescent, tungsten produce such different image qualities. We will also experiment with long time exposures.

Controlling contrast.
Overriding automatic settings.

The workshop will be in the downtown area of Los Angeles and the
Hollywood Walk of Fame. The class is limited to 10 people.

The workshop will begin before sunset about 7 PM.
